Synopsis:
Exploring the frontiers of reality, fantasy, and perception, Your Wildest Dreams seeks to showcase the surreal, the bizarrely-imaginative, and the vibrant worlds in which the artist resides (or creates...) Spatial, visionary, trippy, sexual, limitless, and free, take a ride down the rabbit hole into the depths of the subconscious- brought to life in this brand new Spring showcase from Vestige Concept Gallery! We are accepting works from any medium for this opportunity. "Your Wildest Dreams" In-Person opening reception party will be held Saturday, March 25th, at 6 PM.

DEADLINE: MARCH 10, 2023
Every year, the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival holds the Westmoreland Art Nationals, a juried art and photography competition, featuring art from all around the country. Artists are permitted to enter as many pieces as they’d like to be considered in both of our exhibits.
The first exhibit will be held in Commissioners Hall at Westmoreland County Community College in Youngwood, PA. The exhibit will run from Saturday, May 20 through Wednesday, June 7, with the Opening Reception on May 20 from 6-8 PM. Awards will be Announced at 7:00 PM on May 20 and posted on our Facebook page. The second exhibit will be held at the Westmoreland Arts & Heritage Festival at Twin Lakes Park in Greensburg, PA on Thursday, June 29 through Sunday, July 2 with the Opening Reception set for Saturday, June 24 from 6-8 PM. Awards will be Announced at 7:00 PM on June 24 and posted on our Facebook page. Both shows are free and open to the public to attend.
Digital exhibitions will have artwork that is accepted into both exhibits and will also be displayed on our Facebook page. The first Exhibit will run from May 20 – June 17, 2023, and the second Exhibit will run from June 24 – July 22, 2023.

The People’s Choice Award will be decided by the number of votes received on-site through paper ballots as well as votes taken from our Facebook Page using the number of “Likes” on an image. Any accepted piece of artwork may be voted on to win the People’s Choice Award. Voters are permitted to cast one ballot per artist per day.

Meet Our 2022 JurorsKate Cherry (Meridian, MS)
Kate Cherry has served as the Director for Meridian Museum of Art since 2008. During her directorship, she has curated over one hundred exhibitions for viewing in the museum’s galleries. Her leadership has brought many new programs to the museum; such as Afterschool Classes, Homeschool Workshops, Outreach Services to schools and organizations, the Meridian Museum Art Collective (Mural Group), and a completed building renovation. The museum’s 48th Annual Bi-State Art Competition and Exhibition which will be held during the late summer of 2022 competition is the oldest juried competition of the region. Kate has handled all aspects of this competition from selecting the juror, handling all entries for the juror, and installation of the works.
Kate looks forward to viewing all works in this upcoming art nationals.
Mary Ellen Wehrli (Lewisville, TX)
A native of San Francisco, CA, Mary Ellen now resides in Lewisville, TX. Her formal art studies began some 50+ years ago at San Jose State University and the College of San Mateo.
She has exhibited in many juried shows throughout California and Texas and has been a juror for several art organizations.
Her artwork is exhibited in many public buildings including the Santa Paula Museum, the Newport Museum, and the San Diego Museum. She was the Fine Arts Supervisor for the Orange County Fair, the Fine Art Coordinator for the Los Angles County Fair, and the Events Coordinator for the Art-A-Fair Festival in Laguna Beach, CA.
Her murals are featured on the front of the Art-A-Fair building.

Art of the State, open to Pennsylvania artists and craftspeople, is an annual juried exhibition held at The State Museum of Pennsylvania. With an established tradition of exhibiting highly creative art chosen by a distinguished panel of jurors, Art of the State provides an opportunity for both established and emerging Pennsylvania artists to exhibit their art and receive statewide recognition.
The 56th Art of the State exhibition offers cash awards for selected entries in the categories of Painting, Work on Paper, Photography & Digital Media, Sculpture and Craft.
